Nicki Minaj Discussed why she pulled out of Hot 97 Summer Jam

Peter Rosenberg who was booked to present New York's Hot 97 Summer Jam, apparently insulted "It's Barbie Bitch" and Young Money/Cash Money Queen B earlier this month, the presenter whilst speaking to a crowd in MetLife Stadium took the first shot, insulting the Rapper/PopStar's latest single "StarShips," Peter said "I know there are some chicks in here waiting to sing along with 'Starships' later. I'm not talking to y'all now. F**k that bulls**t," this insult resulted in Wayne requesting that Nicki Pull out of the show. Nicki Minaj on the matter, "After all this has been said and done, I wasn't gonna do 'Starships' and I think people know that. I'm way smarter than that." She then added: "I know what people wanted to see. I think it was just someone trying to be sarcastic, but like every other artist said, it was horrible timing, it was in bad taste. Everybody makes mistakes, but you've got to own your mistake. When you don't own it, then you feel like you can do this in the future and get away with it." The artist continued by adding, "Even artists that were supposed to come out on my set were asked to perform and they said, 'If Nicki's not on that stage, then I'm not on that stage and we gonna ride out on loyalty tonight.' During her interview Nicki explained how she still planned on performing at the event, however Boss Lil Wayne after hearing about the DJ's insulted ordered them to pull out of the show. During the interview, the 'Starships' singer discussed how that she had planned for the event before 'Young Money' label boss Lil Wayne heard of the DJ's insult and ordered them to pull out. Nicki made it clear an apology is not essential : "I don't want an apology. I don't care about an apology. The only thing I care about was handling my business last night because Flex is right, I do handle my own. I don't ask anyone to speak for me and I typically go about things as a boss. Me having loyalty to Wayne and Cash Money and Young Money, that is a boss move. If you don't have loyalty to your family, you will never understand what it is to be a boss." (Nicki and Tyga at Wired 96.5′s Wired Festival yesterday (June 1st) at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.) I'm glad she handle this like a lady. www.modafo.com
